Description
This is my first attempt at a Mermaid mask and so far it's my favorite mask. I created this one back in 2005.
This is a smaller hard plastic mask base that has been decorated with a suede-like fabric, real freshwater pearls, acrylic paints, sequins, ribbons, and a painted acrylic crown. The fins are made of wrinkled, iridescent lame' fabric attached to 14 gauge steel rods.

You know, I thought of layering sequins like scales on my face for a makeup look one time...I really like it on this mask! Great design!
